Sky App Interfaces

SkyGo Application

 This is the loading screen.

Users can manage their Sky accounts from the Sky Go application. This feature appears as a pop-up over the main content.

This allows users to control their TV using their iPad application.

This page displays the users package information.

This displays the users payment details, including the payment due date and previous bill details.

This is the SkyGo home page, users can view whats on now and whats on next.

By selecting a programme users can view a brief description and can opt to watch it on the device.

Users can watch programmes/ movies from their device, and utilise feature like live pause and rewind.

Users can view catch up TV series.

Users can view Sky TV box sets on demand.

Users can view selected Sky movies on demand.

Sky Go users can utilise extra services such as downloading programmes to their device to watch offline.

Sky Service Application

Sky service home page.

Users can access navigation from each page through the menu button.

Users can view billing & payment details. This makes us wonder why Sky needs two applications as this feature is available on both SkyGo and Sky service.

Users can also view their Sky package information, similarly, this feature is also available on the Sky Go app.

Users can view the cost of their current subscription, however to change or alter their subscription they are required to contact Sky directly.

Users can decide to opt in or out of additional free extras.

Users can view appointment details for their Sky+ engineer service. This feature is not available on SkyGo.

Users can manage their account settings via Sky service, a feature also available on SkyGo.

Users can seek help through the application, check service status, or talk to Sky directly if their is a more serious problem.

Users can send feedback about the application.

To surmise, we realised that many of the features available to Sky Service are also available on SkyGo, which supports our idea of merging the two applications into one to make for a simpler user experience. Looking at these applications also allowed us to gain design inspiration for our final prototype.
